Ceramic 3D printing

While heading up the Ceramics Department at Bowling Green State University John Balistreri developed a ceramic medium which could be used in traditional 3D printers. The rights to produce this material was later purchased by Tethon 3D and a research lab was set up in the basement of Jun Kaneko’s production studio in Omaha, Nebraska. Artists Shoji Satake and Brian Harper were invited to explore the possibilities of this new “tool”. Here is what they came up with.
