Posts

Shelf posts are used to prop up the shelves to varying heights. We recommend that the first shelf layer is propped up using 1” posts to allow heat to travel under that layer. This helps avoid heat being wicked out via conduction due to contact with the floor of the kiln. Each shelf should be supported by 3 posts. Full shelves larger than 8 sided, may need to be supported by more posts.
Posts may be stacked to increase the height but for maximum stability it is best to choose posts that can accommodate the heighth of your ware.
