SUMMARY:2020 Skutt Student Contest
DESCRIPTION:2020 Student Competition\nThis was normally a throwing contest 
 held at the Skutt booth at the NCECA Conference. Since the event was cance
 lled we decided we would hold a virtual contest via Instagram and have the
  students film themselves.\n\nEach of the 3 days of the contest a group is
  selected to go head to head in two categories. The first is a random them
 e that was printed on their clay. They had no time to prepare. They had to
  open the box\, read their topic and start making it right away. They only
  had 3o minutes to create their project.\n\nThe second was a project of th
 eir choice to be made with the remaining clay. The projects are judged at 
 the end of the evening by Steven Hill. Cash prizes are given to first 2nd 
 and 3rd place winners in each category for that days winners. The 1st plac
 e winners of each category are then judged again after the final day. The 
 winner of the Themed project will receive $500 and the winner of the perso
 nal preference wins the Skutt/Steven Hill Signature Wheel worth over $2000
